SectionWhat’s there
HouseholdThe household’s name, time zone, language and region, clock, the day the week starts, units, and the calendar’s hours. The default theme and accent. The weather, points and rewards, the celebration sound, adding recipes from links, meal suggestions, how long a display’s PIN unlock lasts, and importing a recipe box from Mealie or Tandoor
FamilyEach member’s name, colour, role, birthday, picture or buddy, login, and PIN. Members are deactivated, never deleted, so their history stays
DisplaysPairing displays, renaming and revoking them, and each one’s settings (Using a wall display)
CalendarsLantern’s own calendars, subscriptions, holidays, birthdays, and the meals and to-dos on the calendar: each one’s colour, usual members, order, and whether it shows
Member rulesWords in event titles that put events under people
IntegrationsEvery connected service and how it’s doing: subscribed calendars and feeds, Immich (Photos), list sync, the weather, AI, and the update check
InboxThe household’s mailbox for invites (Setting up the household’s inbox)
AIThe AI provider, or none (Setting up AI (optional))
BackupsThe nightly backups, kept for as long as the server is set to, and Back up now (Restoring a backup)
StorageHow much photos and backups take, and how full the disk may get before admins are warned
Products and StoresThe things the household buys, and the shops it buys them in (Lists and to-dos)

Export everything downloads the household’s data and photos as a zip: every list, event, chore, recipe, and point, with no passwords or keys.

When a new release is out and the update check is on, admins see a notice at the top of the app with what’s new and how to update. Lantern never updates itself: Installing Lantern Home has the steps.
